Biography
Lauren is a USDF certified Silver and Bronze medalist and has been successful in the FEI ring since 1996. She started formal dressage lessons at the age of 11 and by the time she was fourteen she was assistant teacher at the Kennedy Riding School. A successful show season in the Young Rider Program aboard the horse Epernay solidified her love for the sport and she has been developing herself as a rider and trainer ever since.
Lauren has studied with many dressage greats such as Dietrich von Hopfgarten, Debbie Mcdonald, Guenter Siedel, and Christine Traurig. In 2003, Lauren moved to San Diego to be closer to long time coach, Guenter Seidel. One year later, she became his assistant and had the priveledge of riding his
horses and competing Seidel’s young horse, Princeton through 3rd level.
In 2006, Lauren returned to her hometown of Santa Fe, NM. Currently, she trains at Luna Rosa Equestrian Center. She is actively showing, training and hosting clinics with top competitors such as Debbie McDonald and Christine Traurig. She continues to Study with Guenter Seidel, spending a few months a year in California to further her education. Lauren enjoys bringing horses and riders up through the levels and is committed to bringing classical dressage education back to the community that supported her career as a developing young rider.
